We see what the wall is hiding.

Thermography reads the temperature of surfaces and reveals problems invisible to the naked eye: heat loss, water ingress, system leaks, mould. It is a non-destructive survey — no digging and no demolition to find out where the fault is.

T.01

What it detects

A thermal map turns a suspicion into data. This is what we bring to light.

01
Thermal bridges and heat loss

Where the building envelope loses heat: the areas to fix to cut energy use and discomfort.

02
Water ingress

A map of moisture in walls and roofs, to trace it back to the point of entry.

03
Plumbing leaks

The trail of water under floors and plaster, without opening things up at random.

04
Dew points and mould

Surfaces at risk of condensation, identified before the damage becomes visible.

05
Underfloor heating

The layout of the pipes — worth knowing before drilling or fixing anything to the floor.

06
Electrical overheating

Contacts, terminals and panels heating abnormally: a risk spotted before it becomes a failure.

07
Structural framing

Locating load-bearing elements hidden behind finishes and suspended ceilings.

Who carries it out

2A Studio's thermographic surveys are carried out by Andrea Pallini, a non-destructive testing (NDT) operator certified to level 2.

Level 2 is not a formality: it is what qualifies an operator not only to capture the images but to interpret them and write the report. Combined with expertise in waterproofing, the service ends with a concrete promise — we find the leak and tell you how to fix it. Not just where, but what to do.

CertificationRINA — level 2 ISO 9712

NDT operator in thermography: level 1 ISO 18436 and level 2 ISO 9712, certification issued by RINA (August 2025).

ExpertiseWaterproofing

Course “Expert waterproofing consultant – level 1”, INDEP (March 2025).

Also
Thermo-hygrometric measurements

Ambient and contact readings, to interpret the thermal data in its real context.

Output
Report with thermal images

Annotated thermograms and practical guidance on the recommended work.

The physics, in brief

Every body above absolute zero (−273.15 °C) emits infrared radiation. The thermal camera measures it and turns it into a temperature map: that is how a wall “tells” what is inside it.

T.05

Who it's for

→ 01

Building managers

Water ingress and heat loss across several buildings: we find the cause and recommend the work, with a report to keep on record.

→ 02

Homeowners

Before buying or renovating, or to find the cause of a damp patch that keeps coming back.

→ 03

Contractors and studios

Diagnostics supporting works, inspections and checks, as an external technical service.
